Meet the Doctor

Michael S. Scholes, DMD

Dr. Michael Scholes was born in Firth, ID. He earned his bachelor’s degree in biology from Idaho State University. He then went on to Case Western Reserve University where he earned his DMD in 2007. After graduating from dental school, Dr. Scholes started Scholes Family Dental in 2008, where he’s remained up to date on the most current materials and treatments available in dentistry.

Dr. Scholes has always valued the educational side of medicine, and he brings that passion to the office each day. When building treatment plans for his patients, he’ll always make sure to clearly communicate the more complex aspects of the treatment so that patients leave the office clearly understanding what the road forward looks like. This goes side-by-side with the partnership involved in Dr. Scholes’ process. By becoming a partner in each patient’s journey, he strives to encourage good oral health habits and maintain a long-lasting, positive relationship. Through education, partnership, and an overall jovial attitude, Dr. Scholes brings smiles to each patient that walks through his door.

When he’s not practicing dentistry at his office in Coeur d’Alene, ID, Dr. Scholes is often giving back to his community by coaching youth football—a passion he and his kids have shared since 2013. Dr. Scholes can also be found camping, riding and racing dirt bikes, or relaxing with his family.
